Got up with the Governor, this morning! Governor Andy Beshear and I continued the tradition of me presenting the Governor with a painting, in the Capitol this morning. Ten years ago, plus one month, Governor Steve Beshear did the very same thing! I thought it befitting that Mr. Lincoln now has a new Home in the Capitol!
The monthly First Friday Opening, April 4th from 5-7pm at the Cox Gallery, 2nd floor, Cox Building, Maysville KY features the historical paintings of Galen ‘Frosty’ Rankin and his documentation of the “COVERED BRIDGES OF KENTUCKY”. The event also coincides with the release of Rankin’s book “The 13 Remaining Covered Bridges of Kentucky”. The original paintings featured in his book will be on display in the gallery in April. Also on exhibit will be his series of original paintings of old Kentucky churches.
Rankin will be on hand to sign copies of his book which took him six months of photographic research, two years of painting and a year of further preparations to create. The book will be available at the Cox Gallery Opening book signing or by ordering at www.frostyartwork.com or by email forfrosty@qx.net.
I received the following invitation from the Nude Nite Art Show for Bates Moment:

It will make the art festivals experience a lot more comfortable, by a huge amount!

Come see it and many others at the Holiday Craft and Art Show, Nov 17-18 at the Heritage Hall, in Lexington.
I hope that each and every one of my Friends came to visit me on August the 18th &19th, at the Woodland Art Fair, in Lexington, KY. I was across the street in the Woodland Christian Church lot. This is one of the largest shows that I exhibit in Kentucky, this year! The rest are out of state, except the Holiday show in November. Thanks for your support of the Arts, especially mine! HA!
Check out this You Tube video about the fair:
I had a nice trip to the Capitol in Frankfort yesterday to celebrate my artwork with the Governor of Kentucky, Steve Beshear.
While visiting, I presented Governor Steve Beshear with a framed group print of the 13 remaining Covered Bridge in the State Of Kentucky.
Please come out and see all of the great art at this show!
Luckily the weather won’t matter, because it’s inside!
Hope to see there.
Thanks for all of your support,
Frosty
